Yatterman was a popular anime from the 70s that was popular. Basically Gen (Yatterman 1 & Ai (Yatterman 2) fight against anything that threatens world peace. Doronjo and her minions are the main villains on display here following orders given to them by Skullobey the most ultimate evil. Say what you want about the story its your typical anime fare found here. Being a Miike film it has the directors signature touch, its zany and crazy which is enjoyable because for me at least the story kinda falls flat and into the territory of normalcy that bounds all movies like this one. There is no extreme violence that Miike is known for and only garners a pg rating. The special features are your standard fare and are worth a once through but nothing special. Though this movie isn't bad by no means it is not one of his better pictures, but if you are a fan of his work or YatterMan this is worth a look at.

Movie 3.5/5
Visual 4/5
Audio 3/5
Extra's 3/5
Overall 3.5/5
