9th Annual Toronto Zombie Walk Oct 22, 2011

Guess what, I'll be there this Saturday for it. I just have to survive this pain in the ass week. It should be all good come Saturday, but its not all fun because I now have as opposed to last year a ton of things I have to do at this walk. Ranging from just coverage to an assignment for my classes, but I should be fun like last year.

To those of my readers who are going I'll see ya there.

8th Annual 2010 Toronto Zombie Walk Teaser

Okay people its almost time for the annual Toronto Zombie walk, this event has been piking up steam since it started eight years ago. This year the walk starts at Trinity Bellwood Park and ends at the Christie Pits park, its a 30 minute walk nothing special but when you have a horde of shambling undead it could take awhile to walk. Last year the turnout for the walk was about 6000, this year they hope to break that record this year. The walk is on Saturday October 23, 3:00pm at Trinity Bellwood park registration is required at Toronto Zombie Walk it only takes three seconds so give it a shot. I will be covering this event so for anyone that misses it I will have pictures and videos from that day on my flickr and youtube accounts, links are provided on my main page for your convenience.

Here is a link to my intro for the walk hope you enjoy:8th Annual Toronto Zombie Walk Intro

Quick Recap of the Weekend

So this past weekend was Fanexpo in Toronto and it was the bomb. As I write this I'm so tired and my feet are sore but it was well worth it and despite the long lines and lack of uniformity it was a very good convention. I have a ton of pics that need to be cleaned up but no worries all will be up on my Flickr account for your viewing pleasure I'm sure. A few things that were noteworthy on Saturday they closed the convention center so no one could get in....or out. So you can imagine how the mood was for that day. Friday was pretty good considering they had been late in letting us in and on the information they had given us. Today (Sunday) was good  I had no complaints but towards the end it got kinda of chaotic (still managed to get lots of great pics). My only complaint was that the masquerade was terrible and only a few costumes were good.

Finally I'm goin to Tokyo, Japan;)

Okay I have some joyful news for myself and well mainly myself. I am planning to go to Tokyo Japan on May 6 to May 22, 2011. Everything is ready to go and I am just raising the money I need for this trip, which is not actually that bad considering the flight and accommodation is less then 3000 grand. I'm flying out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada on an Air Canada flight. I have seen flights going for less money but I don't want a connecting flight and I find direct flights more relaxing, for me anyway. Since I am going by myself I have considered Hostels, Hotels, and Ryokans. I have settled for a hotel because for one thing I can fit it into my budget and I'm not to keen on hostels even though they offer student discounts. I will be going to many awesome museums and sites around Tokyo such as The Ghibli Museum and Tokyo Tower just to name a few. Since I will be going for two weeks I wouldn't mind taking a day and going to Mt.Fuji which I heard is very nice. Equipped with my Nikkon D5000 I will document my trip and take awesome photo's of my trip and things I do and people I meet. Thanks for reading and wish me luck!

Thanksgiving Break: Reuniting with the Family

So as most people know the Canadian thanksgiving is earlier then the American one. So in theory that would make this author Canadian next topic. So I'm back home from University for this weekend (as are most people) and as much as I want to see the family I just don't have the time to. With mid-terms fast approaching and all the readings and assignments I have no time to lolly gag. That is my dilemma I want to enjoy the weekend but my mind is restless. Never the less I did bring some of my books and assignments that must be done so I'll try to accomplish at least the bear minimum (if that's even possible). So as I write this I'm also making a schedule for the weekend: Today I must complete everything, Sunday Thanksgiving dinner, Monday back to Laurier. So I must go and complete what must be done. Toodles!

Haunted House and a Fear Fest!

Okay so I just got back from Canada's Wonderland's special Halloween event called Fear Fest or some other name I don't recall and I must tell you guys that it's a decent event. Sure its nothing really spectacular but it had its scares (trust me I almost lost my arm Steph lol just kidding) and it was very well put together but I believe that there should have been more variety or different themes that didn't look like the last one. Some decent names like Mother Noose and A Midsummer Nights Scare and some pretty terrible ones like Cornstalkers and Kingdom of Carnage. Overall I think that it was a good thing to check out and you should give it a try.

p.s. Go once and try and see everything because you may pay for it later....Muahaha.............sorry that was terrible its too early in the morning to try to be funny.
